At first glance this blend may seem like an odd coupling. However, prior to the 1920’s when the French tightened the legislation around wine labelling, borders were crossed between Burgundy and the Rhone Valley in order to create the best wine of the harvest.
This year produced a 50/50 blend where both varieties speak freely and clearly. Single Vineyards join forces to deliver structural elegance and drinkability!
Minimalistic Approach – wild yeast, whole bunches, open ferments, basket pressing and spontaneous malo’s.
‘Bright berry fruits of red cherry and raspberry weave together with delicate pepper, spice and clove. This wine shows a personality that’s both genuine and fun, it frolics along with notes of blood orange, violets and black fruits. Energetic and on point.-From the Hot100 Wines Judges 2019
